The Connecticut State Animal Response Team (CTSART) program is a collaboration among government agencies, not-for-profit organizations, industry, and volunteers for preparing and responding to animal needs in disasters. It is a public-private partnership, organized to prepare our state for any disaster that involves domestic animals in Connecticut. CTSART is the signature program of the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Foundation.

LICENSE YOUR DOG IT'S THE LAW

Licensing your dog is a State law, but it also protects your dog if it should become lost. The license tag can identify the owner of the dog and help reunite both owner and dog. All dogs six months or older need to be licensed. The license period is July 1st through June 30th of each year. Licenses must be renewed each year prior to July 1st.

The fee for licensing dogs is $8.00 for spayed and

neutered dogs. The fee for unaltered dogs is $19.00.

Late fees will accrue $1.00 per month for every month late.
